Rapidity equilibration in d + Au and Au + Au systems Georg

چکیده
In a Relativistic Diffusion Model (RDM), the evolution of netproton rapidity spectra with √ sNN in heavy systems is proposed as an indicator for local equilibration and longitudinal expansion. The broad midrapidity valley recently discovered at RHIC in central Au + Au collisions at √ sNN= 200 GeV suggests rapid local equilibration which is most likely due to deconfinement, and fast longitudinal expansion. Rapidity spectra of produced charged hadrons in d + Au and Au + Au systems at RHIC energies and their centrality dependence are well described in a three-sources RDM. In central collisions, about 19% of the produced particles are in the equilibrated midrapidity region for d + Au, whereas 78% are in equilibrium for Au + Au.

متن کاملRapidity equilibration and longitudinal expansion at RHIC
The evolution of net-proton rapidity spectra with √ sNN in heavy relativistic systems is proposed as an indicator for local equilibration and longitudinal expansion. In a Relativistic Diffusion Model, bell-shaped distributions in central collisions at AGS energies and double-humped nonequilibrium spectra at SPS show pronounced longitudinal collective expansion when compared to the available dat...
متن کاملFirst-principles study on the electronic structure of Thiophenbithiol (TBT) on Au(100) surface
First principle calculations were performed using Density functional theory within the local spin density approximation (LSDA) to understand the electronic properties of Au(100)+TBT system and compare the results with Au(100) and bulk Au properties. Band structure, the total DOS and charge density for these materials are calculated. We found that the HOMO for Au(100)+TBT becomes broader than Au...
متن کاملElectronic transport in Si and Au monoatomic chains considering strongly correlation effect, a first principle study
We have investigated structure and electronic properties of Au and Si liner chains using the firstprinciplesplane wave pseudopotential method. The transport properties and conductance of these twoliner chains are studied using Landauer approaches based on density functional theory (DFT). Weobtain density of states and band gap using Kohn-Sham and Wannier functions as well as quantumconductivity...

The spin-polarized calculations in generalized gradient approximation density–functional theory (GGA–DFT) have been used to show how the existence of second metals can modify the atomic hydrogen adsorption on Au (100), Cu (100), and Pt (100) surfaces. The computed adsorption energies for the atomic hydrogen adsorbed at the surface coverage of 0.125 ML (monolayer) for the monometallic Au (100), ...
